Circular Economy Sessions in Lens & St Omer

On January 24, 2023, the Pôle TEAM2 and EuraMaterials competitiveness clusters hosted an inaugural session
“Toward the Circular Economy – Challenges and Opportunities for SMEs.”

The program covered the following topics:

• Financial levers to be mobilized to accelerate the economic and ecological transition
  • First and foremost among these is the SME Circular Economy Booster (ERDF support under the REACT EU program)
    • Schedule: through September 30, 2023
    • Duration: 13–16 days
    • Region: Hauts-de-France
    • Amount: €16,500 (excluding tax), with 90% of the pre-tax amount covered – amount remaining to be paid by the company: €1,650
      (Subject to eligibility for de minimis aid)
• Regulatory changes ( REP, the AGEC Act, decarbonization, etc.) and their impact on businesses, presented by ADEME and CITEO
• The C.E.R.D.D. Resource Center, a true treasure trove of inspiration for small and medium-sized businesses (examples, methodologies, etc.)
• The EXIST Program – Managing the Transition to the Circular Economy, led bythe University of Lille
• A Legal Approach to the Circular Economy in Industry by Professor Denis Voinot 
• Two examples of companies that have adapted their business models to align with the circular economy: MOB’ION, the“circular native” (www.mob-ion.fr), and UTTY, the“circular in progress” (www.euramaterials.eu/projets/refilon)

The second session took place on February 28 at La Station (Saint-Omer train station – 62) with the following agenda:

• Support to facilitate the transition to a circular economy
  • Examples of business projects
• Financial levers to be mobilized to accelerate the economic and ecological transition by EuraMaterials and TEAM2
