A key event for a more sustainable industry
On May 20 and 21, 2026, IMT Nord Europe and the SFIP (French Society of Plastics Engineers) will host the 3rd edition of the International Plastics & Environment Conference (PnE 2026) in Douai.
A premier gathering for professionals in the plastics and composites industry, this event will bring together manufacturers, researchers, technical centers, and European institutions to address the major challenges facing the sector.
A program at the heart of industrial transitions
Against a backdrop of growing regulatory, environmental, and societal pressures, the industry is demonstrating its ability to innovate in order to build a more sustainable plastics sector.
Over the course of two days, discussions will cover the entire value chain, including:
- Changes in European regulations
- Circularity and eco-design strategies
- The development of bio-based, low-carbon, and biodegradable materials
- Advances in recycling (mechanical, chemical, and innovative processes)
- Issues related to microplastics and life cycle analysis
- Challenges specific to textiles and composites
- Solutions for reuse, upcycling, and circular design
A place for discussion and networking
Beyond the conferences, PnE 2026 aims to serve as a premier venue for networking and collaboration among the various stakeholders in the ecosystem, spanning numerous sectors (transportation, packaging, energy, construction, healthcare, sports, and more).
The event will also feature networking opportunities, an exhibition, and a space dedicated to innovations and startups.
