Conference: Innovating Through Chemistry to Address the PFAS Challenge
Thursday, April 9, 2026
Maison de la Chimie – Paris
Free event (registration required)
EuraMaterials encourages you to attend the PFAS Symposium, a day of scientific and industrial dialogue focused on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) —molecules that are ubiquitous across many sectors but have become a major concern for health and the environment.
Purpose of the event
This conference brings together France's leading experts in the field to discuss:
- the industrial significance of PFAS and their applications,
- their challenges regarding toxicity, mobility, and persistence,
- options for substitution, in-house synthesis, and waste disposal
A unique opportunity to learn how chemistry can address societal challenges related to PFAS and to discuss innovative solutions with experts from academia and industry.
Flagship Program
The day begins at 9:30 a.m. with a welcome for participants, followed by lectures, roundtables, and discussions led by renowned experts, featuring presentations on:
- PFAS & Fluoride: Societal Issues
- Industrial Significance and Crisis Management
- Product substitution and disposal methods
- Environmental chemical exposome
…and many other topics at the forefront of current scientific challenges.
