Ecomaison is launching a strategic call for projects focused on the recycling of rigid plastics, foams, and elastomers from its EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) streams. The goal: to accelerate the use of secondary raw materials in French industrial sectors. Link to the call for projects

Key objectives of the call for proposals

• Recycle waste collected in Ecomaison’s four EPR sectors:
  furniture, construction, home improvement and gardening, and games and toys.
• Boost sorting and recycling technologies to address challenges related to quality, volume, and industrialization.
• Develop viable industrial applications for rigid plastics, polyurethane (PU) foam, and latex.

Target topics

Plastics

• Sorting of ground resins by color and type (IR, triboelectricity, flotation)
• Adaptation of plastic processing lines to Ecomaison production flows: formulations, hoppers, screws, etc.

Foams & Elastomers

• Mechanical or automated sorting of PU and latex foam
• Mechanical or chemical recycling with closed-loop recycling

Who is this for?

This call for proposals is open to:

• Sorting operators
• Recycling companies (mechanical or chemical)
• Technology providers
• Plastics processors or manufacturers looking to incorporate post-consumer recycled materials

Funding Terms

• Target TRL: 7 to 9 (technologies close to market)
• Co-funded by Ecomaison during the development phase
• Commitment to volumes and a purchase price for recycled materials

Selection criteria

• Technical quality of the project
• Environmental impact
• Market relevance
• Ability to process materials from Ecomaison
• Innovative nature
