ISOLPAC • A multi-layer textile for the external renovation of buildings
When the project began, the construction sector in France was responsible for 40% of energy consumption and 25% of CO2 emissions. This is why a new Réglementation Thermique (energy efficiency standard) came into effect in 2012.
The ISOLPAC project arose out of these circumstances. The aim was to develop a new external insulation method for buildings, comprising a novel insulating material, an integrated covering for the insulating material, and an innovative means of attachment.
ISOLPAC led to the market launch of the ECOPEG™ range of insulating materials for buildings, the submission of a patent, and registration of a trademark.
Project type: FUI (France’s inter-ministerial R&D fund)
Start date: 2012
Duration: four years
